We are seeking a passionate SEN Teacher to join our 6th form team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) to succeed academically and transition smoothly into higher education or the workplace.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Previous experience teaching students with special educational needs (SEN), preferably in a 6th form or post-16 setting, however this isn’t essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and adapt teaching approaches to meet the individual needs of 6th form students.
- Flexible, empathetic, and resilient approach to working with 6th form students with SEN, with a genuine passion for supporting their transition to adulthood.
- Hold a DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one.
