Masterclass are working with a superb SEMH school in the Burgess Hill area. The students have a background of SEMH (social, emotional, and mental health). They require additional support with individual learning plans to ensure they remain engaged with the current curriculum. We are seeking two Behavioural Support Assistants , one to work in the Primary/junior side and one to work within the Secondary side.

Positive Attitude: Maintain a positive outlook, which can be infectious and help create a supportive learning environment.
4) Classroom Management Skills:
Behaviour Management: Assist in maintaining discipline and managing student behaviour in a positive and constructive manner.
Engagement Techniques: Use strategies to keep students engaged and focused during lessons.
- Problem-Solving Abilities:
Initiative: Take proactive steps to identify and address issues or challenges as they arise.
Creativity: Find innovative solutions to support student learning and engagement.
- Emotional Resilience:
Stress Management: Handle stressful situations calmly and maintaining emotional stability.
Support Networks: Utilise professional and personal support networks to stay resilient and effective in the role.
Masterclass Education provide CPD recognised online training, covering subjects such as Safeguarding, Autism Awareness, Understanding Child Development, Violence Reduction, and more, to all of our candidates.
Must have:
- Ability to work well independently and as a team
- Has a passion to support and empower children and young people
- A DBS on the Updates Service, or be willing to obtain one
- Commitment to safeguarding students and young people
- Holds GCSE’S in Maths & English grade A*-C 4-9 or equivalent
- Resilience to deal with challenging situations
