At Masterclass, we have been tasked in recruiting for an amazing SEN children’s residential home in Billingshurst. They provide a safe environment where the children can thrive with their personal development and growth.
They are looking to recruit for Care Assistant who has the skills to develop into a valued member of staff for the individual needs of the children. You will be working with small groups of students who have additional needs from cerebral palsy to hearing/sight impairment. You would be supporting them with their personal progression. You will be supporting them with their daily routine, including personal care. You would then support them with their needs during the school day.
Masterclass Education provide online training, covering subjects such as Autism Awareness, Understanding Child Development, Violence Reduction, and more, to all of their candidates.
Job role:
- To support the children’s development across all areas of their development
- Support and encourage positive behaviour management
- Work with groups of children or individuals (1-1) to support the class teacher in specific lessons.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment enabling children to feel relaxed and happy
- To establish positive relationships with the children and staff within the school and the residential home.
- To be committed to inclusive practice and making sure every child has the chance to be the best they can be
- To be able to provide personal care when required
