About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Computer Science Teacher to join a dynamic team at a diverse and inclusive secondary school in the Crawley area. The ideal candidate will inspire and educate students in computer science, covering topics such as programming, algorithms, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging computer science lessons for KS3 and KS4 students.
- Teach programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
- Prepare students for exams and coursework assessments.
- Develop interactive and practical learning experiences.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in computer science education.
- Support students with extracurricular coding clubs, hackathons, or competitions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the computing curriculum.
Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- A teaching qualification, QTS
- Experience teaching computer science at secondary level.
- Strong knowledge of programming, networks, and computational thinking.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Passion for technology and inspiring the next generation of innovators.
