The Role:

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Computer Science Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching across KS3 and KS4 and inspire students to develop their knowledge and skills in computing, programming, and technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and dynamic lessons in Computer Science, covering topics such as programming, algorithms, data structures, and computer systems.
  • Prepare students for GCSEs.
  • Foster problem-solving, analytical thinking, and creativity in the classroom.
  • Develop and adapt teaching resources to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Monitor, assess, and provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic progress.
  • Stay updated with developments in technology and incorporate them into the curriculum.
  • Contribute to the wider school community, including participation in extracurricular activities or coding clubs.

About You:

We are looking for an innovative and dedicated individual who:

  • Holds a degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline, along with a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
  • Has a strong knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++), and experience teaching computer science at secondary school level.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
  • Is passionate about technology and committed to inspiring the next generation of computer scientists.
