Position Overview:

We are excited to announce an opportunity for passionate and enthusiastic individuals to join the team at an amazing 3 form entry primary school as an Early Careers Teacher. As an Early Careers Teacher, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience, receive tailored support and guidance from experienced mentors, and develop the skills and knowledge necessary to become a successful educator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, preparation, and delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons under the guidance of experienced teachers and mentors.
  • Support the implementation of the school’s curriculum and educational programs, adapting teaching strategies and resources to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Develop positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Participate in professional development activities, training sessions, and reflective practices to enhance teaching skills and pedagogical knowledge.
  • Collaborate with mentor teachers and other members of the school community to set goals, receive feedback, and reflect on teaching practice.
  • Engage in classroom management and behaviour support strategies, promoting a positive and respectful learning environment for all students.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school community through involvement in extracurricular activities, school events, and initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, assessment data, and other administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Passion for education and a commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Adaptability, resilience, and a willingness to learn and grow as an educator.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
