Masterclass Education is working with a dynamic and inclusive primary school dedicated to providing high-quality education for children from early years through to Year 6. They prioritise a child-centred approach, fostering curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning in our students.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Primary Teacher to join the team this September. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate education to children in the early years phase, typically aged 4 to 6 years old. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to young children’s foundational learning experiences and support their transition through primary school.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver stimulating and play-based lessons and activities that promote children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where children feel safe, valued, and supported in their individual learning journeys.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants and support staff to provide personalised support and guidance to children, including those with diverse learning needs or English as an additional language.
- Assess and monitor children’s progress and development using a variety of assessment tools and techniques and use this information to inform planning and differentiation.
- Establish positive relationships with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues, and communicate regularly to provide updates on children’s progress and achievements.
- Foster a love of learning and curiosity in children through inquiry-based learning experiences, hands-on activities, and creative exploration.
- Uphold high standards of professionalism and ethical conduct, always maintaining confidentiality and respecting children’s rights and well-being.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) ECTs welcome to apply!
- Previous experience teaching in an early years setting, with a strong understanding of early childhood development principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
- Creativity, adaptability, and a passion for inspiring young learners and creating engaging learning experiences.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to learn and grow as an educator.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting the welfare and well-being of children.
