Job Overview:
They are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to join their dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach A-Level Geography. This role requires a dynamic and engaging approach to teaching, with a commitment to inspiring students and fostering a love for Geography.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Geography lessons that cater to the needs of all students.
- Develop and implement engaging and interactive lesson plans that encourage student participation and interest in Geography.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their potential.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love of learning.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles.
- Prepare students for examinations and support them in achieving excellent results.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices and resources.
- Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) ECTs welcome to apply!
- A degree in Geography or a related field.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Geography.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Desirable Attributes:
- Experience teaching A-Level Geography.
- Familiarity with current educational practices and methodologies.
- Willingness to contribute to the school’s extracurricular program.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
