- £95 – £100 Daily rate

Masterclass are working with a vibrant and inclusive SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) School, committed to providing exceptional learning experiences for their students. They pride themselves on promoting a supportive and dynamic environment where both students and staff can thrive.
The school specialises in supporting their students with SEMH who require that additional support. The school is located in Chichester and the role will be working within a Primary and Junior mixed class.
Job Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join the team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, working closely with teachers to enhance the educational experience of the students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Classroom Support: Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons, providing targeted support to students under the direction of the class teacher.
- Intervention Programs: Lead small group interventions and one-on-one sessions to help students achieve their learning goals.
- Assessment and Feedback: Support the assessment process by monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teachers.
- Student Well-being: Promote positive behavior and support the emotional and social development of students.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience working as a teaching assistant, preferably at a higher level. Experience in leading small groups or whole-class activities is an advantage.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
- Knowledge: Understanding of the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies. Familiarity with child development and educational needs.
- Commitment: Passion for working with children and a commitment to supporting their educational journey.

Must have:
- Ability to work well independently and as a team
- Hold GCSE’s in Maths & English grade A*-C 4-9 (or equivalent)
- Has a passion to support and empower children and young people
- A DBS on the Updates Service, or be willing to obtain one
- Commitment to safeguarding students and young people
