They are seeking a motivated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their enthusiastic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, working closely with teachers and students to enhance the educational experience. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and passionate individual to make a significant impact on the academic and personal development of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage small group activities and interventions to support student learning, under the guidance of classroom teachers.
- Deliver pre-planned lessons and activities across a range of subjects and age groups, ensuring continuity and progression in learning.
- Provide support and guidance to individual students, including those with special educational needs, learning difficulties, or English language learners.
- Assist in the planning, preparation, and assessment of teaching and learning activities, including the development of resources and materials.
- Contribute to the implementation of school-wide initiatives and strategies to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
- Foster positive relationships with students, promoting a culture of respect, inclusion, and high expectations.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and other staff members to create a supportive and enriching learning environment.
- Assist in the monitoring and tracking of student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- HLTA Qualification.
- Previous experience working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or equivalent role.
- Sound knowledge of educational principles, curriculum frameworks, and teaching strategies.
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including those with special educational needs and English language learners.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, using initiative and problem-solving skills to support teaching and learning effectively.
- Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
