Masterclass are working with a thriving and inclusive SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) school committed to promoting a supportive learning environment for students and staff. We are seeking a highly organised and enthusiastic Human Resources Assistant to join their dynamic team.
Role Summary:
The Human Resources Assistant will provide administrative support to the HR department, ensuring efficient operations in recruitment, employee onboarding, records management, and day-to-day HR functions. This role is essential in maintaining smooth HR processes and supporting the school’s mission of excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with recruitment processes, including advertising job vacancies, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
- Support onboarding and orientation programs for new staff.
- Maintain and update employee records in compliance with data protection laws.
- Respond to staff inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Track employee leave, absences, and other personnel-related data.
- Support the organisation of professional development and training sessions.
- Ensure compliance with school and legal HR standards, policies, and regulations.
- Handle confidential information with discretion.
Qualifications and Skills:
- GCSE’s in English & Maths, additional HR or administrative qualifications desired.
- Proven experience in an HR or administrative role, ideally in an educational setting.
- Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Ability to work well independently and as a team
- Has a passion to support and empower children and young people
- A DBS on the Updates Service, or be willing to obtain one
- Commitment to safeguarding students and young people
- Holds GCSE’S in Maths & English grade A*-C 4-9 or equivalent
