Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic Humanities Teacher to join our team, with a focus on delivering engaging and comprehensive lessons in subjects such as History, Geography, and Religious Studies. The successful candidate will have a passion for their subject area and a commitment to fostering critical thinking skills, cultural awareness, and empathy in our students. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Humanities lessons that align with the national curriculum and educational standards.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel empowered to explore and engage with diverse perspectives.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Foster an appreciation for the interconnectedness of human societies, cultures, and environments.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback to support their growth and development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular projects and enrichment activities that enhance students’ understanding of the humanities.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Humanities, History, Geography, Religious Studies, or a related field (PGCE / QTS)
- Previous experience teaching humanities subjects at the secondary level is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks for humanities subjects.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
- Commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and global awareness in the classroom.
