At Masterclass, we have been tasked in recruiting for a primary school Individual Needs Assistant for a wonderful primary school in the Worthing area. They provide a happy and safe environment where the children can thrive in their education. They have an amazing outdoor area to expand the children’s learning outside the classroom setting.
The Head is looking to recruit for Teaching Assistant who has the skills to develop into a valued member of staff for the individual needs of the children. You will be working with a child 1:1 who has additional needs and requires extra support in and out of formal lessons, with support from Teachers and other staff. You will be fully immersed into the life of the school and encouraged to be proactive in your role alongside your colleagues.
Masterclass Education provide CPD recognised online training, covering subjects such as Safeguarding, Autism Awareness, Understanding Child Development, Violence Reduction, and more, to all of our candidates.
Job role:
- To support the children’s development across all areas of their development
- Support and encourage positive behaviour management
- Work with groups of children or individuals (1-1) to support the class teacher in specific lessons.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment enabling children to feel relaxed and happy
- To establish positive relationships with the children and staff within the school
- To be committed to inclusive practice and making sure every child has the chance to be the best they can be
- To be able to provide personal care if needed
