Masterclass Education are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Key Stage 1 (KS1) Teacher to join our vibrant team at a 2-form entry primary school in Crawley. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to students in Years 1 and 2, fostering their academic, social, and emotional development in a nurturing and stimulating learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of students in Key Stage 1, following the national curriculum and school guidelines.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where students feel safe, valued, and motivated to learn.
  • Assess and monitor student progress regularly, using a variety of assessment methods to inform teaching and support individual learning needs.
  • Establish strong partnerships with parents and carers, providing regular communication about student progress and opportunities for parental involvement in their child’s education.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver cross-curricular activities and enrichment opportunities that enhance the KS1 learning experience.
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive and respectful learning environment, promoting positive relationships and conflict resolution skills among students.
  • Participate in professional development activities and contribute to the wider school community through involvement in school events, committees, and extracurricular activities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2) with a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent knowledge of child development and effective teaching strategies for young learners.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • A passion for creating an engaging and supportive learning environment that celebrates diversity and promotes inclusion.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to plan and deliver creative and stimulating lessons that cater to the individual needs of students.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and a reflective approach to teaching practice.
