About the School: We are working with a nurturing 2 form entry primary school who are recruiting for a permanent KS2 teacher to join their strong team. They are able to support an ECT through their induction years. They provide a safe and inviting environment so the all the children can thrive and meet their full potential. They are also have an well-equipped SSC unit, giving well needed support to students with EHCPs.

Job Description: As a Key Stage 2 (KS2) Primary Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of our students during this crucial stage of their development. You will have the opportunity to inspire a love of learning, instil a sense of curiosity and wonder, and equip our students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to thrive academically and personally.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging and stimulating lessons across the KS2 curriculum, including English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, and more, that cater to the diverse needs, abilities, and interests of our students.
  • Differentiating instruction to accommodate various learning styles and abilities, providing appropriate challenge and support to ensure all students reach their full potential.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel safe, valued, and motivated to learn, fostering a culture of respect, collaboration, and curiosity.
  • Using a variety of assessment methods to monitor students’ progress, identify areas for development, and provide timely feedback that supports their growth and achievement.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to plan and deliver cross-curricular projects and enrichment activities that enhance learning experiences and promote critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
  • Establishing positive relationships with students, parents, and carers, and communicating effectively to keep them informed about students’ progress, achievements, and areas for development.
  • Engaging in professional development opportunities and reflective practice to enhance teaching practice, stay abreast of best practices and educational trends, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), ECTs Welcome to Apply!
  • Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 2, with a strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders.
  • Passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in children, along with the ability to inspire, motivate, and challenge students to achieve their best.
  • Creativity, adaptability, and a willingness to innovate and try new approaches to teaching and learning, keeping pace with educational developments and incorporating technology effectively into teaching practice.
  • Commitment to promoting inclusion, diversity, and equity, and creating a supportive and nurturing learning environment where every child can succeed.
  • Dedication to professional development and reflective practice, with a growth mindset and a willingness to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community.
