KS3 SEN Year 9 Teacher

An exceptional SEN school in the Burgess Hill area is seeking a KS3 Year 9 Teacher for the Spring and Summer terms.
This role will focus on delivering a generic SEN curriculum (not complex needs), with a strong emphasis on progression towards accreditation. The class follows a tutor-group style model, allowing you to build meaningful relationships and provide personalised support to each student.
What the Role Involves:
- Teaching a Year 9 KS3 group with varied additional needs
- Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
- Supporting students toward accreditation pathways
- Creating a positive, calm, structured learning environment
- Working closely with LSAs and wider school staff
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and personal development
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher (QTS/QTLS)
- Experience working with SEN students (ASD, MLD, SEMH preferred)
- A nurturing, creative, and adaptable teaching style
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Available full-time for the Spring & Summer terms
