Masterclass Education are working with a 3 form entry primary school on the outskirts of Crawley who have tasked us in recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to support a child with additional needs in year 4, 1:1, with their education.
The pupil has an EHCP and requires a 1:1 learning support assistant to assist them throughout the school day with an adapted curriculum to meet their needs. The class teacher has prepared a separate lesson plan for the pupil and each morning, will explain the objectives and targets and then welcomes any feedback or further adaptions required.
The school are wanting someone who can start immediately as they have just been granted the funding to be able to meet the needs of the child.
Masterclass Education provide CPD recognised online training, covering subjects such as Safeguarding, Autism Awareness, Understanding Child Development, Violence Reduction, and more, to all of our candidates.
Job role:
- To support the children’s development across all areas of their development
- Support and encourage positive behaviour management
- Work with groups of children or individuals (1-1) to support the class teacher in specific lessons.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment enabling children to feel relaxed and happy
- To establish positive relationships with the children and staff within the school
- To be committed to inclusive practice and making sure every child has the chance to be the best they can be
- To be able to provide personal care if needed
