At Masterclass, we have been tasked in recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to work with students who require additional support in a higher education setting. Working in a prestigious and well-respected OFSTED Good rated college where you will have the chance to join a team driven to improve and increase their impact in the community with events such as volunteer days and fundraisers!
The successful candidate will have the skills to develop into a valued member of staff for the individual needs of the students. You will be required to work with different students either one to one or in smaller groups who require additional support with their learning. You will be fully immersed into the life of the school and encouraged to be proactive in your role alongside your colleagues.
Masterclass Education provide CPD recognised online training, covering subjects such as Safeguarding, Autism Awareness, Understanding Child Development, Violence Reduction, and more, to all our candidates.
Job role:
- To support the children’s development across all areas of their development
- Support and encourage positive behaviour management
- Work with groups of children or individuals (1-1) to support the class teacher in specific lessons.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment enabling children to feel relaxed and happy
- To establish positive relationships with the children and staff within the school
- To be committed to inclusive practice and making sure every child has the chance to be the best they can be
- To be able to provide personal care if needed
