Do you have a passion for supporting young people and helping them overcome challenges? Masterclass education is seeking a dedicated Pastoral Support Assistant to join a secondary school in the Hastings and Bexhill area. The successful applicant will play a key role in fostering the well-being and success of the students.
About the Role
As a Pastoral Support Assistant, you will:
- Provide emotional and practical support to students, promoting their well-being and personal development.
- Work closely with the pastoral team to address attendance, behaviour, and safeguarding concerns.
- Assist in implementing individual support plans for students facing barriers to learning.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, and external agencies.
- Support the organization and delivery of pastoral interventions and activities.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience working with young people, preferably in an educational or support setting.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Be patient, empathetic, and committed to fostering a supportive environment for all students.
- Have a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.
- (Desirable) Hold a relevant qualification in education, youth work, or counseling.
