Salary: £28,000 – £30,000

We are seeking a dedicated Pastoral & Welfare Officer to join one of our outstanding secondary schools in Horsham. This rewarding role will enable you to play a key part in supporting the emotional, social, and academic needs of students.
About the Role
As a Pastoral & Welfare Officer, you will:
- Be a trusted point of contact for students requiring emotional or pastoral support.
- Support students’ attendance, behaviour, and overall well-being through targeted interventions.
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure holistic support for each student.
- Contribute to safeguarding procedures and maintain accurate records in line with school policies.
- Foster a positive, inclusive school culture where all students can thrive.
About You
To excel in this role, you will:
- Have experience working with young people in a pastoral, welfare, or similar capacity.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Be empathetic, approachable, and committed to supporting students’ welfare.
- Have knowledge of safeguarding practices and procedures.
- Ideally hold a relevant qualification in social care, youth work, or education (desirable but not essential).
