Job Title: Premises Officer (school based)
Location: Littlehampton
Hours: Monday – Friday spilt shifts consisting of 07:30-11:00 & 14:30-18:30
Masterclass are seeking a proactive and reliable Premises Officer to join the team at a superb SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) Secondary school in the Littlehampton area. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and security of the school premises and facilities, contributing to the overall health, safety, and well-being of the school community.

Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of school premises, including buildings, grounds, and equipment.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance work, such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting, or coordinate with external contractors as required.
- Monitor and maintain heating, ventilation, and lighting systems, ensuring they are operational and energy efficient.
- Undertake regular health and safety inspections and risk assessments, identifying hazards and implementing appropriate measures to mitigate risks.
- Manage security systems and procedures, including CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control, to safeguard the school premises and protect against unauthorized access or vandalism.
- Oversee cleaning and janitorial services, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained throughout the school.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests, emergencies, and security incidents, taking appropriate action to resolve issues and minimize disruption to school operations.
- Liaise with staff, contractors, suppliers, and external agencies to coordinate premises-related services and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Must have:
- Ability to work well independently and as a team
