They are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our caring team. The successful candidate will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to provide additional support and assistance to students with diverse learning needs. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of students and contribute to creating an inclusive and enriching learning environment for all.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs, learning difficulties, or English language learners.
- Assist students with classroom activities, assignments, and projects under the direction of the classroom teacher.
- Adapt instructional materials and activities to accommodate individual student needs and learning styles.
- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their confidence, independence, and self-esteem.
- Support students in developing social skills, communication skills, and behavioural strategies.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and other staff members to implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of strategies and techniques for supporting students with special educational needs, learning difficulties, or English language learners.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the learning and well-being of all students.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow directions from classroom teachers and other professionals.
- A commitment to promoting inclusivity, diversity, and equality in education.
