Job Title: Primary Teacher for Home Visits

Contract: Monday – Friday

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Teacher to join their team and support home-based learning for students unable to attend school due to medical reasons or other circumstances.
As a Primary Teacher for Home Visits, you will play a crucial role in delivering tailored education and support to students in their home environments. Working closely with families and external agencies, you will provide personalized learning experiences that meet the individual needs and circumstances of each student.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct home visits to students unable to attend school due to medical reasons, long-term illness, or other circumstances, providing educational support and instruction in line with the school curriculum.
- Collaborate with parents/carers, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to develop individualised education plans (IEPs) and support strategies for each student, addressing their specific learning needs and goals.
- Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons and activities that cater to the diverse learning styles, abilities, and interests of students, utilizing a range of teaching resources and approaches.
- Provide ongoing assessment and monitoring of student progress, adapting teaching strategies and interventions as necessary to support their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Liaise with the school’s SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other relevant professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to meeting the educational and support needs of students with additional needs.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Previous experience teaching primary-aged students
- Understanding of special educational needs (SEN) and experience working with students with medical needs or other additional needs.
- Empathy, patience, and resilience, with a genuine passion for supporting students’ well-being and educational progress.
- Can drive and has access to a car.
- Has experience with SEMH (social, emotion and mental health) students however this is not essential.

- Ability to work well independently and as a team
- Has a passion to support and empower children and young people
- A DBS on the Updates Service, or be willing to obtain one
- Commitment to safeguarding students and young people
