We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 4 Class Teacher to join one of our fabulous 2 form entry primary schools. The successful candidate will lead a Year 4 classroom, delivering engaging and enriching lessons that inspire curiosity, foster critical thinking, and promote academic achievement. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on students’ lives and contribute to their educational journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that align with the Year 4 curriculum and educational objectives.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported in their learning.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special educational needs or English as an additional language.
  • Assess student progress and attainment through a variety of formative and summative assessment methods, providing timely feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies, resources, and interventions to meet the needs of individual students and groups.
  • Establish positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues, and communicate regularly to provide updates on student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through participation in school events, committees, and professional development activities.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) ECTs welcome to apply.
  • Previous experience teaching in Key Stage 2, preferably with Year 4 students
  • Strong knowledge of the Year 4 curriculum and effective teaching strategies to support student learning and progression.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
  • Effective classroom management skills and the ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to learn and grow as an educator.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting the welfare and well-being of children
