Secondary School Teacher – Science
MPS, ECT, UPS – Salary on NJC Scale Fringe Allowance added
We are looking for an engaged and passionate science teacher to join our team at working in a Good rated secondary school. The curriculum would be working at a KS3 & KS4 level as you’d be supporting several forms across multiple age groups, knowledge of the curriculum is very important.
You will need to be enthusiastic and innovative with genuine belief in the ability of all students to achieve their potential. Working as a teacher of Science you will be working as part of a team to navigate KS3-4, liaising with other teachers in the team to ensure consistency in lessons. The candidate that is successful will be able to demonstrate desire to achieve excellence working towards the goal of growing the OFSTED rating from good to outstanding.
The role is required ASAP because on unforeseen circumstances, you would need to be able to slot in around a fast-paced environment with as little disruption as possible to the children’s education.
The Head is passionate about finding the right person for the role so encourages visits to the site if progressed to interview to give candidates the ability to feel comfortable and understand the values and objectives of the school. You must have:
- Qualified Teaching Status (QTS)
- A positive, can-do attitude with a passion to empower young people
- Have an enhanced DBS on the Updates Service – or be willing to obtain one
- Commitment to safeguarding of students
