Are you a passionate and innovative Science educator seeking a new challenge? We are looking for a dynamic Science Teacher to join a dedicated Secondary School team on a full-time, permanent basis.

As a Science Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and challenge students in the fields of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. You will deliver engaging and interactive lessons that promote scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and practical skills development. Working collaboratively with colleagues, you will contribute to the development and implementation of an innovative Science curriculum that prepares students for success in further education and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Science lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, in line with the National Curriculum and examination board requirements.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage students and enhance their understanding of scientific concepts.
  • Conduct practical experiments and investigations, ensuring adherence to health and safety guidelines.
  • Assess student progress through formative and summative assessment methods, providing timely feedback to support their learning.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued, respected, and motivated to achieve their potential.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, such as science clubs, competitions, and field trips, to enrich the learning experience and promote a passion for science.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) ECTs welcome to Apply!
  • Degree in Science or a related field; postgraduate qualification in education is desirable.
  • Experience teaching Science at Key Stages 3, 4, and/or 5, with a strong understanding of relevant curriculum frameworks and examination specifications.
  • Enthusiasm for science and a commitment to inspiring students through engaging and challenging lessons.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to the wider life of the school community.
