Are you an experienced and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking to support and inspire students? Masterclass Education is seeking a dedicated HLTA to join a dynamic team at a secondary school in the Hastings area. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with students, teachers, and staff to make a real difference in students’ learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the classroom teacher in delivering high-quality lessons and interventions.
- Take responsibility for teaching small groups or whole-class sessions as needed.
- Plan and prepare resources for lessons, under the guidance of the classroom teacher.
- Provide targeted support to individual students, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
- Assist with assessing, recording, and reporting on pupil progress.
- Supervise students during activities and provide support during assessments and other classroom tasks.
- Work collaboratively with teachers to develop lesson plans and adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of all students.

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with HLTA status or equivalent qualifications.
- Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A passion for supporting the learning and development of all students, particularly those with additional needs.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
