About the Role:
Masterclass Education is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Secondary History Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Brighton and Hove. The school emphasises its focus on staff support and its community-driven ethos. This full-time position is ideal for individuals who are dedicated to delivering engaging and thought-provoking History lessons while fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons aligned with the curriculum.
- Provide engaging lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
- Create an inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
- Mark homework and assessments, providing constructive and timely feedback.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed to protect student welfare.
- Follow behaviour policy to ensure students are on task and focused, liaising with parents if required.
- Attend weekly CPD meetings to promote professional development.
Qualifications:
- Essential:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Bachelor’s degree in History or a related field.
- PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education).

Salary: Paid to scale, based on experience and qualifications.
