Masterclass Education are working with a dynamic secondary school in the Brighton and Hove area who are seeking a dynamic Design Technology Teacher to join their thriving secondary school community. This role has become available as a maternity leave cover position, starting in January 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
As our Design Technology Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and creative lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially KS5).
- Teach a range of Design Technology specialisms, such as Resistant Materials, Product Design, or Graphics.
- Inspire students to develop practical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for design.
- Contribute to curriculum development and extra-curricular opportunities.
- Support students in achieving excellent outcomes in both practical and theoretical assessments.
Qualifications and Experience:
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a degree in Design Technology or a related field, along with QTS.
- Have experience teaching Design Technology at secondary level.
- Demonstrate a commitment to fostering creativity and innovation in the classroom.
- Be a team player with excellent communication and organizational skills.
- (Desirable) Have expertise in CAD/CAM, 3D printing, or other modern technologies.
