Are you passionate about supporting students to achieve their full potential in a secondary school setting? We are seeking dedicated Secondary Learning Support Assistants to join an amazing team and provide tailored assistance to students with diverse learning needs.
Masterclass Education are working with an amazing SEN secondary school where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. As part of the team, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational journey of the students and promoting their well-being and success.
As a Secondary Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and SENCO to provide individualised support to students with diverse learning needs, special educational needs, and disabilities (SEND). You will assist with classroom activities, provide one-to-one or small group support, and help to create an inclusive learning environment where all students can access the curriculum and achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to students with diverse learning needs in a secondary school setting, including those with SEND, behavioural difficulties, or English as an Additional Language (EAL).
- Assist with classroom activities, including helping students to understand instructions, completing tasks, and managing their behaviour.
- Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning, develop literacy and numeracy skills, and promote independence.
- Adapt learning materials and resources to meet the needs of students with diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other professionals to implement support strategies, monitor progress, and provide feedback on student achievements.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, observations, and interventions, and contribute to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs/EHCPs) and other documentation as required.
