About the Role
Masterclass Education are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Modern Foreign Languages Teacher to inspire and engage students in the learning of languages. Located in a beautiful area of East Sussex, the school prides itself on its welcoming and inclusive vision. We are looking for a dynamic individual who can teach students at Key Stage 3, 4, and potentially Key Stage 5, promoting a love for languages and cultural understanding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons, ensuring students develop strong language skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening
- Inspire students to appreciate and explore the culture and traditions associated with the languages taught
- Prepare students for examinations, ensuring they meet or exceed target grades
- Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing constructive feedback to support improvement
- Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse learning needs of students, including those with additional educational needs
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and participate in department meetings
- Encourage extracurricular language activities, such as language clubs, cultural events, or trips abroad (where applicable)
Key Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Degree in a Modern Foreign Languages.
- Ability to teach at secondary level, including GCSE and A-Level
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for teaching languages
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A commitment to promoting cultural awareness and language learning across the school
- Experience with exam preparation.
