About the Role:
Masterclass Education is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary PE Teacher to join an exciting secondary school in Brighton and Hove. The school’s PE department plays a key role in fostering healthy lifestyles, teaching students the importance of physical activity, nutrition, and mental wellbeing. The school has built strong connections with the local community, organising charity events, inter-school sports matches, and partnerships with local sports clubs. This full-time position is ideal for a teacher passionate about sports and physical education who can inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons and coaching sessions.
- Teach a variety of sports and physical activities to students of different ages and skill levels.
- Motivate students to reach their full potential in both physical education and overall well-being.
- Set and mark assignments, track progress, and update school records.
- Ensure safeguarding measures are followed to protect student welfare.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Bachelor’s degree in physical education or a related field.
- PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education).
- Excellent class management and leadership skills.
- Strong subject knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum.

Salary: Paid to scale, based on experience and qualifications.
