Are you a hands-on, reliable individual looking to make a difference in a school environment? I am working with a thriving school in the Brighton and Hove Area who are seeking a dedicated Caretaker to join their dynamic team to ensure the smooth running of their facilities.
About the Role
As our School Caretaker, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs.
- Ensuring the security of the school premises, including locking and unlocking the building.
- Conducting health and safety checks and ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Supervising contractors and managing site-related projects.
- Supporting the setup of rooms for events and activities.
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will:
- Have practical skills in general maintenance, DIY, or similar roles.
- Be proactive, organized, and able to work independently.
- Have good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Be flexible and willing to adapt to the needs of the school.
- (Desirable) Hold experience in a similar role or relevant qualifications (e.g., Health and Safety, First Aid).
