Are you a passionate Secondary School Science Teacher looking for an exciting new role in a dynamic and supportive environment?
Masterclass Education is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Science Teacher to join a creative and thriving secondary school in the Hastings area, with a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality science lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Inspire and engage students in biology, chemistry, and/or physics
- Prepare students for GCSE examinations and ensure they achieve or exceed their target grades
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support where necessary
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, encouraging participation from all students
- Collaborate with the science department on curriculum development and extra-curricular activities
- Ensure health and safety guidelines are followed during practical lessons
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A degree in a science related subject (biology, chemistry, physics)
- Strong subject knowledge, with the ability to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable)
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Passion for science education and a commitment to student success
- Experience in planning and delivering engaging lessons (desirable but not essential for newly qualified teachers)
