SEMH Teaching Assistant – Secondary

£80-£90 a day
Start date: After Easter
Masterclass are working with an amazing secondary school who are dedicated to meeting the diverse needs of all learners, including those with SEMH difficulties, and promoting positive mental health and wellbeing.
They are needing someone to join their amazing team, supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs, assisting them with academic and social development.
- Implement strategies and interventions to support students in managing their emotions, behaviour, and social interactions effectively.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ specific needs.
- Foster positive relationships with students, providing encouragement, guidance, and a safe space for them to express themselves.
- Support students in developing coping mechanisms and resilience to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
