Contract Type: Mon-Fri | 8.30-4.30 | term time only

About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN College Support Worker to join a team at an amazing SEN College. You will play a vital role in supporting students with additional needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in a college environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and group support to students with learning difficulties, disabilities, or mental health needs.
- Assist students in developing independence, confidence, and study skills.
- Support learners in lessons and with coursework, ensuring they understand and engage with the material.
- Adapt learning materials and strategies to suit individual student needs.
- Encourage students to participate in college life and social activities.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and support teams to deliver tailored support plans.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to tutors and support services.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
Requirements
- A passion for supporting young people in education.
- Experience working with students with additional learning needs (desirable but not essential).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and encourage students.
- Patience, empathy, and adaptability.
- A relevant qualification in education, support work, or social care (desirable).
- Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures (training provided if needed).
