SEN Humanities Teacher – Inspire Learners Through History, Geography & Culture
We’re looking for a passionate and adaptable SEN Humanities Teacher to join a dedicated team at a specialist school in Worthing, West Sussex, supporting students with a range of additional needs including ASD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
This is a fantastic opportunity to bring creativity, empathy, and structure to students who thrive with personalised, inclusive teaching approaches.
Your Role Will Include:
- Planning and delivering engaging Humanities lessons (History, Geography, PSHE and related subjects)
- Adapting content to meet a variety of learning needs and levels
- Working closely with SENCOs and support staff to implement EHCPs and individual learning plans
- Supporting the social, emotional, and academic development of every student
- Fostering curiosity, cultural awareness, and independent thinking in a safe, structured environment
✅ What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Experience working with students with SEN (mainstream or specialist setting)
- Strong knowledge of Humanities curriculum at KS3/KS4 (flexible depending on school)
- Patience, creativity, and excellent classroom management skills
- A genuine passion for inclusive, values-led education
