SEN Humanities Teacher – Inspire Learners Through History, Geography & Culture

We’re looking for a passionate and adaptable SEN Humanities Teacher to join a dedicated team at a specialist school in Worthing, West Sussex, supporting students with a range of additional needs including ASD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.

This is a fantastic opportunity to bring creativity, empathy, and structure to students who thrive with personalised, inclusive teaching approaches.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging Humanities lessons (History, Geography, PSHE and related subjects)
  • Adapting content to meet a variety of learning needs and levels
  • Working closely with SENCOs and support staff to implement EHCPs and individual learning plans
  • Supporting the social, emotional, and academic development of every student
  • Fostering curiosity, cultural awareness, and independent thinking in a safe, structured environment

✅ What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Experience working with students with SEN (mainstream or specialist setting)
  • Strong knowledge of Humanities curriculum at KS3/KS4 (flexible depending on school)
  • Patience, creativity, and excellent classroom management skills
  • A genuine passion for inclusive, values-led education
