We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, and passionate SEN PE Teacher to join our committed team. This is a unique opportunity for a professional who is driven to make a difference in the lives of children with diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and assess high-quality PE lessons that are accessible and engaging for students with a range of special educational needs.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies and adaptive equipment to support the physical, emotional, and social development of SEN students.
- Collaborate closely with other staff, including SEN coordinators, teaching assistants, and therapists, to provide a holistic approach to education.
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting lessons and strategies as necessary to ensure continuous improvement and success.
- Promote positive behaviour management strategies to create a safe and respectful classroom environment.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in SEN and physical education.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in a PE or sports coaching context.
- Strong knowledge of adaptive physical education practices and strategies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to inclusive education and a passion for working with children with diverse needs.
