We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join a passionate team at a wonderful local SEN primary school. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing high-quality education and support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they reach their full potential.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess effective and engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with special educational needs.
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students, working closely with support staff and other professionals.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants and other members of the inclusion team to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles within the classroom.
- Regularly assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching methods as necessary.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, maintaining open communication about student development.
- Attend and actively participate in relevant meetings, workshops, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
- Previous experience as an SEN Teacher or a strong background in special education.
- In-depth knowledge of various special educational needs and strategies to address them.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with other professionals involved in the students’ education.
- Passionate about inclusive education and supporting the diverse needs of students.
