Masterclass Education are currently looking for talented teaching assistants to work in one of our special needs schools in the Lambeth area.
This is a brand-new modern school based near Brixton who are currently looking for staff to join their school as soon as possible. This is a large SEND school for students with physical and mental disabilities from KS1 to Post 16. The school offers state of the art facilities including a hydrotherapy pool, sensory rooms, and therapy rooms.
Due to the nature of the needs of the students the school are looking for people who are capable of supporting students both academically and physically, this is including personal care and manual handling.
This is a long-term opportunity to start as soon as possible until the end of the academic year with a view for this to continue in September depending on performance.
Previous school-based experience is desired but not essential, if you have experience in other areas such as care assistant, nursery assistant, nursing, elderly care or any other relevant experience would be beneficial.
The Role
– Working with students KS1-post 16
– Supporting students with physical and mental disabilities
– Assisting with personal care and manual handling
– Assisting class teacher with classroom duties
– Engaging in the wider responsibilities across the school such as lunch cover, assemblies etc
