They are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering tailored instruction to students with special educational needs, ensuring that each child receives the support and accommodations necessary to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs, in collaboration with parents, SENCO, and other relevant professionals.
  • Plan, differentiate, and deliver effective lessons that cater to the diverse learning styles and abilities of students with SEN, utilising appropriate teaching strategies, resources, and assistive technologies.
  • Provide ongoing assessment and progress monitoring and adjust teaching methods and interventions as needed to support student learning and development.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued, respected, and supported in their learning journey.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and external agencies to coordinate interventions, accommodations, and transition plans for students with SEN.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, providing updates on student progress, goals, and strategies for support, and involving them as partners in their child’s education.
  • Keep abreast of current research, best practices, and legislation related to special education and inclusion, and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
