We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team and support the students in achieving their full potential.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the teaching and learning process. You will work closely with teachers and other staff to provide individual and small-group support to students, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and reach their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Your mornings will consist of working one to one with a SEN (special educational needs) Student who requires additional support.
- Your afternoons will be working with a small group of students.
- You will be assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Help prepare classroom materials and resources.
- Encourage positive behaviour and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.
- Assist with the assessment and recording of students’ progress.
- Supervise students during breaks, lunchtimes, and on school trips.
As this role is for an immediate start, we would require you to have a DBS on the update service.
Masterclass Education provide CPD recognised online training, covering subjects such as Safeguarding, Autism Awareness, Understanding Child Development, Violence Reduction, and more, to all of our candidates.
Must have:
- Ability to work well independently and as a team
- Has a passion to support and empower children and young people
- A DBS on the Updates Service, or be willing to obtain one
- Commitment to safeguarding students and young people
- Holds GCSE’S in Maths & English grade A*-C 4-9 or equivalent
- Resilience to deal with challenging situations
