We are currently seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our daily supply across Primary schools in the Pontefract area. As a Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work across a range of Primary schools, supporting Teachers and children. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in an educational environment, or those who prefer a flexible working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to teachers in the delivery of lessons and classroom activities.
- Work with children individually or in small groups to reinforce learning.
- Assist in managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment.
- Support children with additional learning needs, offering tailored assistance where necessary.
- Ensure the safety and welfare of children at all times.
- Be adaptable and flexible, ready to work in different schools.
Requirements of the Role:
- Previous experience working with children, either in a school or similar environment.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
- A passion for helping young people achieve their potential.
- A valid DBS check (or the willingness to undergo one).
- A Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3) is desirable but not essential.
- Safeguarding awareness and understanding of child protection procedures.
