1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Year 2 (ADHD Support)

Salary: £92-£95 per Day
Masterclass Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil with ADHD in a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bristol.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a patient, proactive individual who is passionate about helping children with additional needs thrive both academically and emotionally within a supportive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide consistent 1:1 support to a Year 2 pupil with ADHD
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored support strategies and individual education plans (IEPs)
- Support the pupil’s academic progress, emotional regulation and social development
- Use positive behaviour strategies to promote focus and engagement
- Adapt learning materials and approaches to meet individual needs
- Contribute to a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with children, ideally within a school or SEN setting
- Understanding or experience supporting pupils with ADHD (desirable)
- A calm, patient and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential)
