Classroom Assistant – Key Stage 2
Location: Littlehampton, West Sussex
Role Type: Monday-Friday | 8:30-3:30 | Term time only
Pay: £80 – £93 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: February
We are working with a friendly and supportive primary school seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Classroom Assistant to support a KS2 class.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and eager to help pupils thrive academically and socially.
About the Class:
You will be supporting a KS2 class of motivated and well-behaved pupils, with a mix of abilities and some children requiring additional support. The school has a strong team ethos, and you’ll work closely with an experienced class teacher and support staff in a positive learning environment.
The Role:
As a Classroom Assistant, you will:
- Support the class teacher with daily learning activities
- Work with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning
- Assist pupils with additional needs, including SEN where required
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children (school experience desirable but not essential)
- Is patient, reliable, and enthusiastic
- Has strong communication and teamwork skills
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare
- Holds (or is willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS
