We are currently supporting a secondary school in Crawley that is seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of English to join their team and inspire students both in and beyond the classroom.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys bringing texts to life and helping students develop strong literacy and analytical skills in a supportive and well-structured environment.
About the Role
In this role, you will:
- Teach English Language and Literature across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering engaging and purposeful lessons
- Support students in developing strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
- Plan well-sequenced lessons that meet the needs of learners of all abilities
- Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback to support improvement
- Work collaboratively within the English department and contribute to the wider school community

About You
The school is looking for someone who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Has strong subject knowledge in English
- Is enthusiastic, approachable, and committed to student success
- Can establish a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
- Is motivated to develop professionally and contribute ideas to the department
