Learning Support Assistant
Crawley | Mainstream Primary School | 8.30-3.30 | Monday-Friday
Are you passionate about helping children build their confidence and get the most out of their time at school?
We are working with a friendly mainstream primary school in Crawley who are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on, building strong relationships with children and making a genuine difference to their day-to-day experience in school.
You will be working alongside the class teacher to support pupils both academically and pastorally. Every day will be different, with opportunities to work with individuals, small groups and the wider class.
What we’re looking for
The school would love to hear from candidates who are:
- Naturally patient, positive and encouraging
- Confident building relationships with children
- Able to recognise when a child needs additional reassurance or support
- Proactive and willing to get involved in school life
- Comfortable working as part of a team
- Keen to develop their experience within education
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, LSA, childcare worker, youth worker or similar would be advantageous, but the school is also open to candidates with relevant transferable experience.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll help pupils stay engaged with their learning, provide encouragement when they find things challenging and support them to become increasingly independent. You’ll also work closely with teachers to ensure pupils receive the right level of support and contribute to creating a classroom where every child feels included.
