Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Primary & Secondary Schools

We are seeking caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to work across a range of supportive primary and secondary schools. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by supporting pupils with additional needs to access learning, build confidence, and thrive in the classroom.

The Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
  • Support pupils with emotional regulation, communication, and learning tasks
  • Help create a calm, inclusive, and positive learning environment
  • Follow individual education plans (IEPs/EHCPs) and behaviour strategies
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience working with children or young people (school, care, or youth settings)
  • Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
  • Understanding of SEND, including autism, ADHD, and SEMH (desirable)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
  • Relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential)
