Learning Support Worker – SEN School | Portsmouth

We are recruiting Learning Support Workers to join an outstanding specialist school supporting children with a range of additional needs, including Autism, communication difficulties, physical disabilities and complex learning needs.
What you’ll be doing:
• Providing tailored 1:1 and small-group support
• Assisting pupils with communication, emotional regulation and independence skills
• Supporting access to learning across a range of subjects
• Helping students take part in specialist therapies and outdoor learning opportunities
• Working alongside experienced teachers, therapists and support staff
• Promoting a calm, safe and stimulating learning environment
• Encouraging confidence, engagement and positive behaviour
The ideal candidate:
• Has experience in SEN, care, childcare or support work (preferred but not essential)
• Is warm, patient, reliable and resilient
• Has a genuine passion for helping children thrive
• Is comfortable supporting pupils with additional physical or communication needs
• Is eager to learn, develop and be part of a supportive team
Location: Portsmouth
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm (Term time only)
Pay: £90 per day, paid weekly
