We are currently recruiting for a Pastoral & Behaviour Support Manager to join a mainstream secondary school in the Crawley area, starting ASAP.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in pastoral care, behaviour support, youth work or education who is passionate about supporting students’ wellbeing, behaviour and personal development.

- Monday–Thursday: 8:30am–4:30pm
- Friday: 8:30am–4:00pm
About the Role
As a Pastoral & Behaviour Support Manager, you will be responsible for providing pastoral and behavioural support to an allocated year group. You will work closely with students, staff, parents and carers to promote positive behaviour, safeguard student wellbeing and create an environment where all students can thrive.
You will play an important role in supporting the school’s pastoral systems, responding to behaviour incidents and helping students overcome challenges that may impact their education.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pastoral and behaviour support to an allocated year group.
- Build positive, respectful and trusting relationships with students.
- Monitor and respond appropriately to behaviour incidents.
- Support communication with parents and carers.
- Promote student welfare, safeguarding and equal opportunities.
- Work closely with tutors to provide effective pastoral care.
- Support the wellbeing and personal development of students.
- Follow school policies, procedures and safeguarding guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with staff to maintain a positive school environment.
- Contribute to the school’s values and Christian ethos.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in pastoral support, behaviour management, education, youth work or a similar setting.
- Confident communicating with students, colleagues, parents and carers.
- Passionate about supporting young people and improving outcomes.
- Able to build strong professional relationships.
- Calm, approachable and consistent when managing behaviour.
- Committed to safeguarding and student wellbeing.

- Ability to work well independently and as a team
